A Great Attitude | Inspirational Quotes and Sayings

“A great attitude does much more than turn on the lights in our worlds; it seems to magically connect us to all sorts of serendipitous opportunities that were somehow absent before we changed.”  – Earl Nightengale

Oh boy. Do I need to hear this one! You know? Some days it really is about all I can do to muster a good attitude. But this inspirational quote really reminds me how important not just a “good” attitude is, but actually how vital a “great” attitude is to accomplishing the things I want to accomplish in life and to bring in the resources I need to do that!

A_Great_Attitude_Inspirational_QuotesEven though I need a reminder of this from time to time, as I’m sure we all do, what I’ve noticed in my life is that what Mr. Nightengale says is 100% true! Things happen… resources appear, connections get made, truly serendipitous opportunities appear that weren’t there before… all because of my attitude!

When I have a bad attitude, when I’m feeling down or upset about things, it seems that everything is harder. The road seems rockier, things don’t run as smoothly, I often end up feeling like nothing is going right.

If I stop and think about it, if I make a conscious decision to turn my attitude around, suddenly the road smooths out… things start working better and YES… opportunities, connections and resources appear, seemingly out of nowhere.

My guess is that many  of those things were there already, and I just couldn’t see them because my bad attitude got in my way. Maybe another thing that could be is that when I shift my attitude, my light shines a little bit brighter and attracts more light my way. I think probably both of those things are true. Whatever the case, I do know that a GREAT attitude can make all the difference in the way my (and probably those around me) day, and life goes.

Sometimes we just need to stop and make a decision to actually turn our attitude around. That’s why I like this inspirational quote by Earl Nightengale. It is a great reminder to do that… especially when I’m having a not so perfect day!

Improve your Personal Life with a New Career | Inspired Action

Improve Your Personal Life New Career Inspired ActionFor some of us, improving our personal life is finding a new career. If we are working in what we love to do, that rubs off on the way we view things and gives us a better perspective on life. You have to consider the many ways of success we can practice to become a well-rounded person finding his or her dream job. You have to believe in you and what you want. Make it your reality.

With a solid plan, whether to change jobs or start a new business can become a reality. You should never let the fear of change stop you from achieving something that you really want. New is overwhelming for most of us, but if you take time out to research and do proper networking, you’ll find the transition will be less stressful.

Find a career you love

Whether your in mid career, a student, new to the work force, or an entrepreneur it gets difficult to gain satisfaction and accomplishing your full potential when your stuck doing something you hate. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, so why not do something that you like doing. Keep in mind that doing what you like is often complicated but if you would like to improve your personal life here are a few steps:

Decide why you want to change careers

It is important to know whether you are moving away from something or moving towards something. It is difficult to identify your ideal job when you are overwhelmed by negative issues from your current situation. If you are making a career change, keep all of your options open to make a fresh start.

What are your goals?

Write down a normal aspect of a normal day. Outline what it is exactly that you want. Such as what is your work schedule, the positions and tasks, what is your ideal salary to live comfortably, and are you an entrepreneur at heart. Continuously write these goals in a notebook or journal.

What are your interests?

Your interests do not mean this should be your new job or business, it is just the beginning of self exploration. The key is to identify what truly interests you and how you can incorporate those interests into the work field. What are your favorite hobbies? What books do you like to read? What sections of the newspaper to you turn to first? What are your favorite television shows? After keeping track of this for a week, you should discover a trend that should narrow down to two or three topics of interests.

What are your abilities?

Write down a list of abilities that come easily to you. By doing something that your good at will not only greater your chance of succeeding, but give a sense of satisfaction to your work. You will find that you have hidden abilities. Once you pull up those hidden abilities use them, see how you like them and put them to good use.

Many people walk through life failing to realize who they are and what they are capable of doing to its entirety. Do not be afraid to learn who you are. It will take some time. It took me over thirty years, but it was well worth the trial and errors made along the way to learn who I am.

Bridging The Gap between Knowledge and Action | Inspired Action

Chances are, you know what should be done. You know you must stop hesitating. You know you have to watch less TV. You understand that you must set smart objectives and goals and smart deadlines. And ideally, you understand you should track your work, track your outcomes, and put even more of your effort into the areas of your company that give you the best return.

However there’s a huge space in between knowledge and action and you have to find a way to bridge that gap. Think of all the money that’s invested on education: whether it’s a big companies trying to enhance their effectiveness, or stay at home moms or dads trying to get into better shape. They know the changes they have to make, however they constantly fail to set goals, create new habits and follow through.

Bridging the Gap Inspired ActionLet’s look at a few of the gaps that keep you from turning your expertise and knowledge into rewarding and useful practices.

The Fear Of Change

Failure can be comfy. It represents a continuation of a habit that, at least on on some level, has actually brought us a lot of enjoyment. Now where this breaks down is that enjoyment and joy and success are 2 very different things. Enjoyment can be purchased with a cookie, it can be discovered in the bottom of a bottle, you can get a brief rush of it with a couple of minutes on the internet.

Joy and success are harder, and the road that leads to them is longer, winding, and littered with distractions. The consistent pursuit of enjoyment, paradoxically, keeps more even more people away from becoming successful.

You Won’t Find out By Doing

There are a lot of individuals who tried to do by learning instead of learning by doing. Talking issues to death hardly ever solves them. People tend to discuss too much. It’s natural to want to go into a scary situation with knowledge behind you. Once you’ve learned the essentials of a skill, start acting upon it. Then look for new information once you have actually encountered a significant roadblock, or find you actually need to expand your current skills.

You Rely On Inspiration Instead of Routine

It’s all right to “feel unmotivated” sometimes, to hit a roadblock and require something positive to dig you out of your hole. However if you’re constantly needing t be motivated for any type of forward action in your life, it’s an indication that you haven’t actually put the energy you must into setting new habits.

Habits aren’t subjects that need inspiration. Routines are things that we just do, whether it’s a good time or a bad time. If you can devote one month to establishing a positive habit, chances are you will be able to keep them up for a long time to come

Accepting “Life Excuses”

A lot of individuals take “life happens” as a reason not to do the things that they should. It’s almost like there’s no effort to leap over the obstacles that life puts in front of them. It is necessary to set up undisturbed times and regular places for your most critical priorities and these cannot be violated. When you give yourself an option between any 2 things, there’s a chance you will take the less beneficial (although sometimes more fun) choice.

Establish an everyday routine that removes those choices.

Going From Zero To A Hundred

When it sinks in how far behind we are on our goals, it’s easy to attempt to do too much too soon and destroy our desire to improve entirely. While there are people who can handle a radical shift, for most people it’ll be best to start small, concentrate on recurring action, and scale up from there!

No More Excuses

The time for learning and not doing it over. Step up and start making a significant change in the way you approach issues … right now!

Affirmation: I find love everywhere | Inspirational Quotes and Sayings

Here is an awesome affirmation for you, for today or any day:

I am very grateful for all the love in my life. I find it everywhere.

Here is an awesome affirmation for you, for today or any day: I am very grateful for all the love in my life. I find it everywhere.

When we look for the love in every situation, with every person we are with… in any given moment, it is so amazing how it works… we start seeing it and finding it everywhere we go.  If you write this affirmation down and keep it with you, or put it up around your house somewhere that you will see it, and read it, I think you’ll be surprised at how much love you will find at every turn you make!

I am reminded of the verse from the Bible – from Corinthians 13:4-7:

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

I remember this verse from when I was a very little girl going to church with my parents. This was always one of my favorites… and it sticks with me to this day.  I admit, it is one of the verses that left me pondering the question of why all the people didn’t understand this and live in these words. I think that I was born to share and illuminate love on this planet.  I think we were all born to share and illuminate love on this planet. I think there is no greater task for anyone to accept as their true heart’s calling.

You don’t have to be famous, you don’t have to be rich or highly educated or be in a position of influence or power to have a profound effect on the world.  Really, all you have to do is love and be loved.  There is nothing greater than that.
