You Can Acquire Personal Power Through Self-Development | Inspired Action

It is the natural right of every human being to be happy to escape all the miseries of life. Happiness is the normal condition, as natural as the landscapes and the seasons.  Happiness is the product of wisdom. To attain perfect wisdom, to comprehend fully the purpose of life, to realize completely the relationship of human beings to each other, is to put an end to all suffering, to escape every ill and evil that afflicts us. Perfect wisdom is unshadowed joy.  Acquire-Personal-Power-Through-Self-Development-Inspired-Action

Because in the scheme of nature we are being forced forward in evolution and we lack the spiritual illumination that alone can light the way and enable us to move safely among the obstacles that lie before us. Aside from these greater tragedies of life innumerable things of lesser consequence continually bring to us minor heartaches and little miseries. The thing we lack is the spiritual illumination that will enable us to look far and wide, finding the hidden causes of human suffering and revealing the method by which they may be avoided; and if we can but reach illumination the evolutionary journey can be made both comfortably and swiftly.

The theory was that when a man was born he was a completed human being and that all that could be done for him was to load him up with information that would be used with more or less skill, according to the native ability he happened to be born with. The theosophical idea is that the physical man, and all that constitutes his life in the physical world, is but a very partial expression of the self; that in the ego of each there is practically unlimited power and wisdom; that these may be brought through into expression in the physical world as the physical body and its invisible counterparts, which together constitute the complex vehicle of the ego’s manifestation, are evolved and adapted to the purpose; and that in exact proportion that conscious effort is given to such self-development will spiritual illumination be achieved and wisdom attained.

Chiefly because it separates us from those we love. The only other reason why death brings grief or fear is because we do not understand it and comprehend the part it plays in human evolution.

Why do we have enemies from whose words or acts we suffer? Because in our limited physical consciousness we do not perceive the unity of all life and realize that our wrong thinking and doing must react upon us through other people a situation from which there is no possible escape except through ceasing to think evil and then patiently awaiting the time when the causes we have already generated are fully exhausted. When spiritual illumination comes, and we no longer stumble in the night of ignorance, the last enemy will disappear and we shall make no more forever.

Why do people suffer from poverty and disease? Only because of our blundering ignorance that makes their existence possible for us, and because we do not comprehend their meaning and their lessons, nor know the attitude to assume toward them. Had we but the wisdom to understand why they come to people, why they are necessary factors in their evolution, they would trouble us no longer. When nature’s lesson is fully learned these mute teachers will vanish.

And so it is with all forms of suffering we experience. When we have comprehended the lessons they teach they are no longer necessary and disappear.

To attain perfect wisdom, to comprehend fully the purpose of life, to realize completely the relationship of human beings to each other, is to put an end to all suffering, to escape every evil and ill that afflicts us. Because in the scheme of nature we are being forced forward in evolution and we lack the spiritual illumination that alone can light the way and enable us to move safely among the obstacles that lie before us. The thing we lack is the spiritual illumination that will enable us to look far and wide, finding the hidden causes of human suffering and revealing the method by which they may be avoided; and if we can but reach illumination the evolutionary journey can be made both comfortably and swiftly. Because in our limited physical consciousness we do not perceive the unity of all life and realize that our wrong thinking and doing must react upon us through other people a situation from which there is no possible escape except through ceasing to think evil and then patiently awaiting the time when the causes we have already generated are fully exhausted. Only because of our blundering ignorance that makes their existence possible for us, and because we do not comprehend their meaning and their lessons, nor know the attitude to assume toward them.

Get The Right Answers When You Ask The Right Questions

As a huge fan of self-reflection in general and having seen the evidence of it’s impact on success many times in working with clients (and myself) the only real question becomes: what questions do you ask yourself that have the power to elicit the answers that are vital for you to manifest your dreams. Today, I’m sharing 15 of my favorites with you. An important part of your coach’s job is to ask the right questions. We train for years to know which ones are the right ones as from the thousands of questions your coach can ask you, there is always one perfect one for each client conversation. Knowing that question is both an art and a science. Since this article is something of a one-sided conversation, the following questions are by necessity somewhat general, still, one will be the right question for you in the moments that you are reading it.

Take a few moments to think about your business in general or a specific aspect of your business that you want clarity on today. Read the following questions out loud slowly and notice how you respond to each one emotionally. One or two questions will truly resonate with you in the moment and you will feel within yourself as you read that question that it holds an important answer for you. Don’t force the answers. Simply ask yourself the question or questions that your intuition responded to throughout the day and the answer will reveal itself.

Inspired Action | Asking the Right Questions

1. Why am I in this business?
2. What is the biggest dream I can dream?
3. Who does and does not support my dreams?
4. How can I attract even more abundance in my life?
5. What is great about me? (and don’t you dare say “nothing”!)
6. What thoughts do I have that empower me?
7. What is going right in my life?
8. How much well-being can I allow into my life? What will that look like?
9. What will make me feel good in this moment?
10. What is the most effortless way to get this done?
11. Who can help me with this project?
12. What choice feels best in this situation?
13. What thought right now will make me feel good about being me today?
14. What are the top 3 things I can let go of in my daily routine that would allow me to focus on income-producing activities instead?
15. What are the 3 biggest things I know I could do to increase my contribution and value?

Use these questions to motivate and empower yourself to live the life of your dreams.

And, of course, have fun with this.

Tips on How To Overcome Self Doubt

Inspired Action | Overcoming Self DoubtIf you are a person who suffers from self-doubt, then you probably feel like you’re the only one who doesn’t have confidence in your abilities. Actually, you may feel that everyone views you in the same way you view yourself. Self-doubt is an issue that many people deal with in their lifetime, but it is one that can be conquered. All you need is a little determination, persistence and patience.

Below are some simple steps for overcoming self doubt.

1 – Verbally Compliment Yourself – You may feel a little silly doing this at first, but it is a critical thing to do when working on overcoming self doubt. In the morning, when you go to the bathroom, look at yourself in the mirror and give yourself a compliment. It may just be something simple like, “I look good today.” It doesn’t really matter what it is, the point is that you compliment yourself. You are your toughest critic, so if your toughest critic can give you a compliment every day, everyone else should be easy, right?

2 – Address the Problem – In order to overcome your struggle with self-doubt, you have to acknowledge it’s there first. So, sit down and think for a minute. What exactly is it about yourself that you doubt? Are there specific instances when you doubt yourself more than others? If so, what are those instances? Write them down. This process will help you specifically identify what it is that you fear the most. It may be that you aren’t confident in your speaking abilities or you doubt your professional abilities. Once you know what the problem area is, you can begin to work on it.

3 – Find the Good – Now that you’ve determined what it is you doubt about yourself, write down every good quality you have. It doesn’t matter if you are a good cook, have great typing skills, are punctual or are great with other people. Whatever good qualities you have, write them down. And, write them down in “I” statements. For instance, “I am a great journalist.” Use this list of “I” statements to read in the morning when you give yourself a compliment. This step is key in overcoming self doubt as it will give you a list of things that you feel good about.

4 – Keep a Daily Journal – A great way to build your confidence and and work on overcoming self doubt is to begin keeping a daily journal. Throughout the day, write down everything good that you do. Basically, you want to write down all of your accomplishments over the course of each day. Then, at night right before bed, take the list out and read over it. End the day by reading good things about yourself and you’ll be more likely to wake up thinking good things about yourself.

5 – Talk to Friends – Everyone has at least one friend, so I don’t want to hear that you don’t have any friends to talk to. When you’re suffering from self-doubt, you need a support group to help you talk your way out of the self-doubt pit and back up to your mainland of confidence. This is what good friends are for. Use them!

6 – Celebrate – Don’t place minimal importance on your achievements. Celebrate them! You need to celebrate the specific times when you overcome your self-doubt and achieve something you didn’t think was possible. These celebrations will give you more motivation to keep on going!

Self doubt is a real problem that affects many people. However, you can defeat it. The six steps listed above may seem simple. That’s because they are! Start implementing them in your daily life and you’ll be amazed at the difference they will make and you will also be amazed at the progress you make with overcoming self doubt.

What are Chakras?

Chakras, which mean wheels in Sanskrit, are energy centers running along our spine. Ancient Hindus formulated that there were seven of these energy wheels, each one a different color and spinning in a clockwise direction.    Divine Inspiration what are chakras

We all have seven major chakras and many minor chakras. They are like spinning funnels that come out from our body. When they are perfectly balanced and spinning correctly we are in perfect health. If one or more are out of balance, too open or too closed we feel off color, out of balance, or sick. This is what is called dis-ease. Each chakra relates to organs or parts of the body and each need to be looked after and balanced regularly. You can work on each chakra separately starting with the base chakra, and then bring them all into balance, or you can work on all the chakras at the same time.

The root chakra is located at the base of the spine.
The sacral centre is just below the navel.
The solar plexus is about two inches above the navel.
The heart is about the level of the physical heart.
The throat is at the base of the neck.
The third eye is on the forehead between the eyes.
The crown is at the top of the head.

These are the 7 major chakras and there are many minor chakras as well.

All chakras interact with one another. Each chakra corresponds to a particular colour frequency and with a particular gland or organ. This means that the organ or gland vibrates at a sympathetic rhythm to a colour vibration. When we feel “off colour” or “washed out” we need to re-tune the colour, just like tuning in a radio set to a station so that it restores the signal loud and clear.

In a healthy body the chakras absorb and distribute colour energy evenly, while in an unhealthy person toxins may begin to collect causing physical, mental and emotional problems.

Each chakra can be balanced using colours, crystals, essential oils, music, affirmations or changing what you do. It is also beneficial to have a chakra balance to bring them all back into balance. This can be done at home by yourself or you can go to a crystal therapist or colour therapist to have it done.

When all your chakras are balanced – you should be healthy and well balanced.
It is important to have all your chakras in balance, sometimes when people start on the spiritual path they concentrate on the third eye, but it is very important to start at the bottom. Our body is like a building, you need to get the foundations right before you work on the top floors. So make sure your bottom chakras are balanced and functioning properly.

Each chakra is represented by a colour:
Base – Red
Sacral – Orange
Solar Plexus – Yellow
Heart – Green or Pink
Throat – Blue
Third Eye – Purple
Crown – White

The easiest way to bring the chakras back into balance is to carry or wear the appropriate colour.

Another very easy and pleasant way is to listen to a chakra balancing CD. Music is a very relaxing way to bring things back into balance. Ideally this is done while meditating, but just listening to the music will help. And let’s face it anything is better than nothing. Playing a chakra balancing CD is a great way to balance the whole family at the same time and usually this has a calming effect on every one as well.

An easy but effective way to balance and align the chakras is to do a guided meditation lying down with crystals or colour patches of material on each chakra.

A Guided Meditation for balancing the chakras:

You may either get someone to read this to you, or you may read it out and record your own voice. It is best read slowly, allowing for pauses where appropriate.

Relax,  take a couple of deep breaths and breathe out all your stress and tension.

See yourself standing in a valley, you are surrounded with red tulips, everywhere you look it is a sea of red.
As you start to walk though the tulips you feel yourself absorbing the red energy.
You feel your root chakra come alive.
As you walk further you come to the end of the red tulips.

You have now come to a field of orange poppies, they are everywhere, and the flowers appear to be dancing in the light breeze.
As you walk along you notice you are starting to go up the side of a hill.
Walking through the poppies you feel yourself absorbing the colour orange.
Your sacral centre is alive.
You now reach the end of the poppies.

You are now in a field of brilliant yellow daises.
Smell the fragrance and see the sunny yellow flowers.
As you continue your journey up the hill you feel the yellow absorbing into your body and your solar plexus is alive.
All too soon you come to the end of the yellow.

You now find yourself in a beautiful field of soft green grass.
As you walk across it you feel the green absorbing up through your feet.
Your heart chakra is alive.

The green grass field takes you further up the hill till you reach a field of bluebells, their delicate blue heads bowed slightly as if to greet you.  As you walk through them, feel the blue absorbing into your body,  feel your throat chakra opening.

As you walk further up the hill you reach the end of the beautiful bluebells and find yourself in a field of indigo irises.
Stand for a moment and absorb the indigo colour flooding into your third eye.

Walking further up the hill    you come to the end of the indigo and reach a patch of purple pansies.
Their beautiful petals are like faces looking up at you.  Hundreds of them all are projecting their colour up to your crown chakra.
Just stand for a moment and absorb.

As you slowly continue up the hill, you leave your pansies and reach the top of the hill. Here you are surrounded by a sea of tiny white flowers.  As you sit in the middle of the white flowers you notice you are on the top of the hill.  Looking down you can now see all the colours,  red,  orange, yellow,  green,  blue,  indigo, purple and white,  like stripes in the side of the hill.

Sit for a moment and take it all in.

You feel very peaceful and every chakra is alive.

It is now time to leave your rainbow hill.

Remember the feeling of all your chakras being alive.  Return to the top of the hill whenever you feel the need.   It is now time to open your eyes and return to this reality as we know it.

You may use this chakra balancing meditation whenever you feel the need for it, or as often as you like.
