Cause and Effect – The Key To Truly Reaching Any Market | Business Inspiration

By Lorrie Morgan-Ferrero

What is the “unique selling position” in your market? Luck will not propel you to success. Understand the “cause” of your market’s problem by knowing your target. Solving their problem is the “effect” they are looking for. Corporations have entire departments dedicated to finding out who buys from them so they can hone in on that market segment. They do that by profiling not only who buys from them, but also who their competition is. Successful marketing campaigns listen to their market. It’s about connecting a hidden desire or an expressed desire in a market, a target market. Your job is to identify where those minds are, find them and then connect with them. You don’t have to be a corporation. It’s your job to do your own research and it’s available to you through your competition.

Singularly look at writing to one person rather than a group. When you get this one concept down, your copy will stick like glue to the reader because it’s just the 2 of you in the room. It’s a real easy thing to say “everybody is my target market” but it’s not true. Your target market is only those potential customers who are suitable for your products or services. You really have to know exactly who you’re talking to so you can provide the solution to their problem.

Copywriting is interaction between the reader and the writer. You want the reader to keep reading so you have to engage him or her. When you get in touch with your “TARKET” (your Target Market), that’s where you really make the sale. You need to know everything about who you’re writing for. In other words, start with the catch in your mind instead of the pitch.

Remember that it’s not about you. Eugene Schwartz, Copywriting Master says, “The creativity is in your market and in your product, and all you are doing is joining the 2 together. And the only way you can get the creativity out of your product and your market is to dig it out. And the only way you can dig it out is dig it out more than anybody else digs it out.”

3 Lists That Actually Work for a Cleaner More Organized Home | Inspired Action

By K Quinn

3-Lists-That-Actually-Work-Inspired-ActionIs your home getting away from you? When was the last time you saw your sink free of dishes? Or all your laundry was finally done and folded and put away?

If you’re like a lot of people you may find it hard to fit in the regular day to day tasks of keeping home into an already busy schedule.

Well there are three checklists you can make use of today to help you finally keep on top of these household details and keep your home running like a well oiled machine.

1. Daily Housekeeping List:  Do you know what to do each day to keep on top of the regular mess and mayhem that happens in your home? A Daily Housekeeping list is a simple list of daily to-do’s that takes only minutes to complete and can keep your home in company-ready order.

Here is an example of some items in a Daily Housekeeping list…

  1. Make beds
  2. Clean up dishes and wipe down counters after meals
  3. Discard junk mail.
  4. Do one load of laundry
  5. Spend 5-15 minutes cleaning one messy area of your home.

These few items, spaced out during the day are the best defense against a messy home.

2. Weekly Housekeeping List:  Just as important as the daily upkeep of your home is a list of things to attend to in the house  each week. This list is a way to keep track of those items you wouldn’t do each day but would still want to see to once a week or more. Such as….

1. Dust

2. Clean bathrooms

3. Vacuum sweep and mop necessary floors.

4. Change bed linens.

5. Wipe down appliances in kitchen.

This simple list combined with your Daily Housekeeping list keep your home looking magazine spread ready.

3. A Family Chore List: Make sure those contributing to the messes in the home help contribute to the cleanup. Give children age appropriate chores designed to help them learn the value of helping the family. Mom and dad can divide up the bigger chores as they see fit being sure not to overload one another. Put all these chores on one big list or give each family member their own chore list to keep track of and check off those items they are in charge of. Here’s an example…

Mom: Cleaning Bathrooms, Laundry, Cooking

Dad: Garbage, Vacuuming, Keeping garage tidy, recycling

Child: Pet care, putting away own laundry, setting dinner table, clearing dinner table.

Every family is different. I know a family where dad is in charge of laundry and cooking a few days a week so adjust to your own family’s schedules and abilities.

Keeping a clean home doesn’t have to take all day. Put these 3 simple lists to paper and bring big changes to your home.

Just Say No:Not Allowing Others to Manage Your Time

Written by Jennifer DeAnna

Running down the hall, with laptop in hand, scurrying to a meeting, in which I am already ten minutes late, while ducking around corners trying to dodge a bullying co-worker, right as I think I have successfully rescued myself, I try to maneuver my leg through the closing jaws of the elevator and then realized it was not my lucky day.  While managing to turn to the bullying co-worker’s voice calling my name, I yank my leg from the shutting mouth of the elevator, placed a fake smile on my face and asked the question as if I had no place to be: How can I help you? And like always she poured out the longest list that she some how decided were my duties; of course they weren’t. By this time I was use to being the go-to person for just about anything that needed to get done. As I maneuvered through my tote bag looking for my day-runner to jot down the never-ending list, something happened. While rummaging through the bag and dropping my laptop to the floor, I stopped, looked at the bullying co-worker and informed her that there was no space to add anything extra to my busy schedule. I literally looked at her and answered “no” to her never-ending list. She was shocked. I was amazed and set free by the word “no.”  Inspired Action | Just Say No

Many people loose sight of their time because they are always managing to make everyone else’s life a little bit easier. When we allow ourselves to constantly juggle priorities that aren’t ours to handle we are allowing others to control our time. And in situations like these the word “no” should become our very best friend. Learn to just say the word “no”. Some people like to measure success by how full their busy schedules are. Some people also think a constant hustle and bustle of life means they actually have a life. However, this way of thinking is not a good measure of success. If you say, “yes” to doing five different things how effective will you be to get at least one done in a timely manner without running yourself tired? It is more effective to choose one or two projects and see them through. When you are asked to lead something or do something and you really know you cannot give a definite yes, learn to say, “yes” to saying “no”.

If you value your self- importance on how much people need you, saying “no” maybe a task. The motive is not to remove you from working on your good-deeds by assisting others but be very selective before you volunteer your time.

It is so important that you learn not to over extend yourself. No one will value your time the way you will. Learn to say “no” in a pleasant way. Of course some people will be offended but you know exactly what you can handle at that time. It is up to you to control your time. Learn to say “no”. Here are a number of ways you can say “yes” to saying “no.”

Ways to say the word “no”

  1. “I do apologize, I can’t dedicate the time that is needed.”
  2. “That is a great idea, I just have too much on my plate right now.”
  3. I would like to assist you but right now I have several projects that I need to complete.”
  4. Suggest a quick solution to the problem or an idea, do not suggest anyone else’s time to complete the task.

Learn to value your time by considering your priorities first.  In order for you to follow-through with other people’s agenda you must first prioritize your agenda.
